Don't shoot the messenger, I've just heard that before. Plus for a little extra confirmation, I Googled the band's name along with 'avant-garde' next to it. Results came up that people were calling it avant-garde. Plus it's on the internet, so it must be true... Honestly though, I don't know what the fuck they are in this day in age of 5,000 sub-genres.
