Eindhoven; Rockcity!
For me?

Metal Church at the Aardschok day in the Ijselhall in Zwolle the Netherlands.

This was just after they released "The Dark"What a killer show that was!! :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

Runner up: Metallica in Paradiso Amsterdam.

Still with Cliff Burton. just after the "Ride the lighting" Album

I remember that gig xentrix were awesome and then followed by the mighty sabbat:headbang: They were the days when you went to a concert and didn't have to start a pit, the place would go mental from the start. For me thou' best gig of the eighties was Christmas on earth in leeds Megadeth and Overkill+KREATOR and others, just fantastic!!

Slayer at the Marquee in London, just after Hell Awaits came out. Awesome show..

I saw them on that tour at the Dynamo in Eindhoven. They played two day's there.

Homocidal maniac!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Twisted Sister and Dokken for TS's 'Come Out and Play' tour! The stage show was pure 80s! A huge house with junkyard cars to the left and right, manhole in middle. Dee popped up out of the manhole and the drums came out of the huge double doors on the front of the house. Of course, stage left and right featured the guys playing on top of the cars lol.

Great show!

I would have loved to see Twisted Sister those day's. Hell, what I am saying? I would love to see them now!

I have seen Dee Snider at Wacken 2000 and he kicked serious butt!! I tel ya, I was unprepared!! I did not see him coming. I was thinking "yea, Dee Snider that old Twisted Sister guy, he a has been".

He was NOT!!

50.000 people going completly nutz. People with Immortal T shirts singing his songs!!!

And me too of course.

Dee Snider rules!!!!!!!! :headbang:

It's a tie: 1. OZZY OZBOURNE with Randy, Diary Of A Madman
Tour, Cow Palace, S.F., Ca.
2. LED ZEPPELIN Presence Tour, DAY ON THE
GREEN, OAKLAND,CA.
3. AC/DC, with Bon, Highway To Hell Tour, DAY ON THE
GREEN, Oak., Ca.
4. METALLICA(Ride The Lightning Tour)-EXODUS-
Bonded By Blood Tour)-MEGADETH(Killing Is My
Buisness Tour), S.F. Civic Auiditorium, Ca.
5. BLACK SABBATH with OZZY, VAN HALEN (V.H. 2 Tour)
Oakland Coliseum, Ca.

Ronnie James Dio just blew me away on "The Last in Line" tour. His theatrics, pyro, laser and mechanically technical showcase, along with his voice in tip top shape was incredible. Vivian Campbell was amazing as well. Any performer that fights a dragon with a laser sword and a guitarist that has lasers shooting out of his guitar during a solo gets high marks in my books.
Next would be Angel Dust. They are a German "power metal" band, but I don't like the category. I really don't know how to explain why they were so good, except to say tehy were METAL like no other band. They had energy that was unreal. That is one band that gives 100% at a show.

Mine would probably be Metallica and Anthrax at the Hammersmith Odeon 1987. Two awesome bands for the price of one.
Also Deep Purple on the House of Blue Light tour was pretty special. Blackmore was on fire that night.

If only i was older that 8 years older when the 80's finished :(

Also I live in Australia, not a good place for concerts. But I'd have killed to see Motley's Feelgood tour here in '90, Poison's Open Up tour here in '89, Kiss in 1980 (before I was born hahaha) open air, and also Guns N Roses/Skid Row open air in 1993. Apparently Skid Row blew GNR off the stage too.

Black Sabbath in 1987 at Sun City, South Africa ... they played with the unique line-up of Iommi, Martin, Dave Spitz, Terry Chimes and Geogg Nicholls ... the good old days .. ;-)

Gotta go with Hawk,; Metal Church in Zwolle. "Ton of Bricks" just blew me away !!! Another great one was a Agent Steel- Anthrax - Overkill concert in Belgium. Those bands just released some cult albums. At that show we even had some beers with guys from Heir Apparent and Savage Grace, they were hanging around at that gig...Here's the flyer of this tour (with German dates)..What's real strange is that Hawk was also at both concerts, we must have passed each other several times 20 years ago o_O !!

Metallica and Queensryche in 1989.
It was Metallica's first headling, arena tour of the States, and they were supporting "Justice", at the time. I was knocked out...it was unbelievably good.
Queensryche opened, supporting "Mindcrime" and, again, just blew me away.

Another great show was King Diamond and Sepultura on Halloween 1989 at New York's old "Ritz" theater. At the time, King was probabaly my favorite artist....he was supporting "Conspiracy". The stage set featured the old house, 'grandma', and King being burned alive in his coffin (during Cremation) only to disappear when the coffin was then opened! It was simply unreal. King's vocals were also much stronger live than i expected them to be.
Sepultura opened, supporting the recently released "Beneath the Remains". I remember then thinking that these guys would be huge, but I guess that never really materialized.

Finally, my third fav gig was also in 1989. Tesla with Badlands (Jake E Lee's old band) opening. I went really only for Badlands who have released one of the top ten all time great albums in their 1989 debut!
They were, of course, blazing! Gillen's vocals (RIP) were immense....he's really right there with Ian Gillan, Robert Plant, Glenn Hughes, Halford, Dio, etc. A true vocal god.
And after seeing Tesla that night, I became a fan. No frills, no cheese....just kickin ass!
