what would you like to see in kalmah future album

I want to see them go back to the intricacy and melodic depth that they had in their previous albums...while i really like the new album, i really feel like the black waltz is kind of 'dumbed down' as compared to the last cds...im thinking they did this to make their songs more playable on stage, but i could be wrong...either way, id like to see them go back to their old ways with their new quality of recording

I think if they keep their instrumental style on the latest album, and mix the vocal styles of The Black Waltz and the other older albums they would be perfect.

i agree with that completely

different vocal styles, like some singing, some of the old vocals and some of the new stuff. A live album would also be really cool, maybe a live CD/DVD would be even better, other than that, i love the way they play

I was thinking exactly this way too.

I'd like to see two things.

First of all, a nice mix of vocals, between the old style and the new. Vocal are pretty sweet the way they are, I wouldn't want anything new, like clean or any other different styles. Just a nice mix between the past and present.

Second, I would like to see more work between between the guitars and the keyboard, as intricately worked as the on the earlier albums. I know they have a new keyboardist, and it will take a bit of time to relate as well musically as the old one, but I still think he should have added a bit more melody.

Other than that, they should change nothing. Keep doing the same they've always done, provided awesome melodic death metal albums !!!!!!!

no one here notices the lack of some good solos? like the ones in:evil in you, principle hero, withering away, dance of the water, the blind leader, swamphell, tordah, cloned insanity,-->80% of the musics in the previous albums had fucking great solos. i cant believe that no one notices that:loco:

I noticed and that's why swamplord is still my favorite album. GOOD FUCKING SOLOS.

Even though i like the sound of the new cd (like the vocals and the riffs), the last 3 sounded much more melodic, and possibly also more creative.

I don't know if mixing the 2 styles of heavier vocals with more progressive, creative guitarwork will have a good effect on the music. I think they either have to choose to keep it the same style, go back to the old or even try something completely different...

What do u guys think about a totally different style of kalmah? already they sound different from their 3 first...
