Whats happened to the ending of Fall Of Sipledome ?

Last track on The Gathering why does it end with what sounds like an emergency fade out? Can't really describe it, but if you have heard it you'll know what i mean

I 'd be thinking "last orders!" vs. "this one is probably gonna be a last tracker..."
..fuck it - fade out!...and get to the bar in time! (I'll tell James & co. it sounds great as a fade...Korn is doing it so you boyz should)
