What's happening to King Diamond?

I know the legend had medical problems with his back and aborted some tours. In 2009 He also promised a full DVD retrospective and the remastered Mercyful Fate/King Diamond catalogue.
Nothing materialized. So far...
So what happened?
It seems to me he's on hiatus and all his projects went down the toilet flush.
Let's hope not!

As far as I know this is the latest news about him. Triple bypass surgery caused him to put his projects on hold. The article mentions his intentions to return once he straightens his health out, which I hope is soon - for his sake and the fans

Jesus, this is terrible. I didn't know that. I wish him the best, cannot wait for either remasters and DVDs.

King Diamond has been out of order lately. If his health can not recover he will not return. I'd like to think he has plenty of new ideas for new records by now though. Get well King Diamond the metal scene feels more dead without him. That surgery news is old now.
