Whats the generic bubble gum pop scale/chord progression??

theory isn't my strong point but I need a starting point for a goofy project i'm working on with my 9 year old sister. So i need a scale or chord progression, something in the vein of all those Kesha, Katy Perry (california girls), or that "I throw my hands up in the air sometimes...." song.
