What's this funk that you call junk?

First two albums are ridiculously good. It's kinda sad to see the kids nowadays not being able to appreciate something like this at all. Even songs like "I Remember You" are way less faggy than everything "emo" or "-core" ever created.

man i don't have any skid row albums but pretty much every song i've heard off that album is classic, time to go get slave to the grind for myself for xmas :kickass:

Shadows, how is it possible you don't have Slave to the Grind? That's one of the greatest metal/hard rock albums of all time. It was a perfect cross between the exit of glam and the entrance of grunge...and you can hear it in the music. Also the following album, Subhuman Race, was really good as well. They had a really nice sound...almost grungy at times.

As far as ballads go, this was their best imo.

Well, you were born in 1988 so I can't imagine you'd have any recollection of those days. Come to think of it, you were 3 when the black album came out.

Yeah I don't think you'd get it anyway, Max. Not that it's over your head, it's just before your time.

I'm not that big of a fan of the self-titled. 18 and Life and I Remember You were good tracks, but that's about it. I can't bring myself to listen to another cover of Youth Gone Wild.

I never really cared for the glam/hard-rock scene till a month or two ago when i started listening to anything by Jorn Lande especially Ark and JORN, and a lot of Tarot and Ayreon. so i've been getting into the traditional heavy metal/hard-rock thing so i would probably really enjoy some Skid Row right now.

Piece of Me is awesome mang.

My favorite Skid Row album. I just listened to it today while walking the dog. All the ballads on there smoke anything on the self titled.
Wasted Time Quicksand Jesus, in a darkened room have some epic vocals and the production is fantastic!
