Pretty much every sub-genre of metal except for death metal (although I love the melodeath scene) and grindcore. I lean towards more old school stuff, but I dig the Gothenberg scene (In Flames, Soilwork, At The Gates, etc.) and I don't mind metalcore, either. If I had to pick my top 3 metal bands at the moment, I'd go with Slayer, Opeth and Lamb Of God.

I've only listened to Heartwork by Carcass. I've heard a little bit of Napalm Death, and it wasn't my thing. I haven't heard any Repulsion.

I'm not really a grindcore person - I think you misread my post. I don't mind Carcass - at least not the Heartwork album, anyways - I can't speak for their other albums. I didn't think Carcass was grindcore; I always thought they fit in the melodic death metal category, but hey, what do I know?

Carcass only have one melodic death metal album (I haven't heard their latest though), their first two albums are goregrind and their third album is deathgrind/death metal.
