It seems that all mention of Eddie Van Halen and the 5150 have vanished!

What's going on?

He ended his deal with them. The 5150 is being re-released as the 6505 at this years winter Namm.

Wow that's big news. I'd be stoked to get my hands on a 5150 for cheaper!! I wonder what Ed's gonna do next..... Line 6? Would be kinda cool.

No wonder about the 6505. I saw the ad in the latest issue of Guitar World, and was wondering exactly what the heck was being *rechristened*. Now I know.

Damn. No more 5150. But why change the name?

Nit: The deal is. EVH got the 5150 and Wolfgang name and some features of the Wolfgang guitar.
Peavey will keep the tone and the circuit of the 5150. I think 6505 will basically have the same tone as 5150 maybe with some nice additions. At least mark I.
