When Will DT Tour Australia?

Read the FAQ on the official page.

This would be a good idea, but for some reason it appears that the link to the FAQ on the official site doesn't work. Or to be more precise, there's no link, even though there's a line that says: "Read the über-extensive FAQ here."

I wonder what's the cause - the FAQ is somewhat outdated by now, but it would still cover all questions of this kind perfectly fine, so I doubt Niklas has deliberately taken it down. I hope it will be fixed soon.

As for the question itself: This is the wrong place to ask. As soon as the band knows for sure that they will be playing somewhere, it will be announced on the official page. And none of us here on the forum can know for sure before that. So, you need to ask the band's tour-management about this, not us.

As Doctor Tranquillity had stated earlier about the FAQ being missing in action, the guestbook area may provide a little more info on this matter.
Note - we're not involved in any booking matters, so there's no use leaving "can u please come to... " pleas here. If you really want a band to play in your town, here's what to do:

- BUY THE ALBUMS
Record sales are the only objective criteria on which booking agencies make their decisions, so this is the most important thing. A couple of hundred sold albums in a country can decide whether band X gets selected for a tour instead of band Y.

- PESTER YOUR LOCAL PROMOTORS
In 99% of the cases, bands don't decide themselves where to play. A booking agent or a promotor needs to make an offer first, and naturally they will be more likely to approach a band if they know that they have a substantial following in the area.

- COME TO THE GIGS
If you want a band to return to your area more often, visit the shows, bring all your friends and make sure to show your appreciation - even if the artist you're interested in only has a 20-minute opening slot. The local promotors will be at the show, and if they see that a band gets a great response, they'll obviously be interested in bringing them back.

- BUY THE MERCH
Most artists don't make any money at all from the actual touring. T-shirt sales are usually the ONLY chance for the band members to get any payment at all. The better the sales, the longer the band can afford to be on the road.
