I remember the first time touring abroad we stayed at this (name escapes me now) hotel notorious for being THE "Rock" Hotel where all the bands stayed when on tour. Smallest lifts in the world and endless and relentless stairways!! I remember looking out my window and seeing the tower. It was amazing!!! :Spin:

Yes, Westminster Abbey in London is what I meant.
I asked my friend about this (born and bred in London and a massive metalhead) and she said, "What tower was it looking over? If it's Tower of London, it would be the Thistle Tower which I now think it's called the Guoman.
The Cumberland is quite notorious but more so 70's as Hendrix stayed there a lot. The Sanctum in Soho is notorious but I think it's notorious now rather than back in the day."

Dang you girls are good, that was mighty fast (too fast for even others to guess)! I was in London mid-April. I had about a 15 hour layover (purposely set up that way) at the airport which allowed me to get out and see a few things as well as snap this shot. Always fun to get a little extra something out of a trip!
Yep. The other time I was there was when I did the Bruce Air Flight 666, that's where that trip started. So before or after that trip I stayed in London an extra couple days so I can see some sights. But, more than just a few days are needed to see London, there' so much to see. I'll be back...

Not exactly my neighbourhood as I live over 400 miles away, but it's most certainly my home from home and I have no problem finding my way around.
