In a recent lengthy thread we all learned that air, water, sex, gravity, fighting, clouds, multiple orgasms, horseradish, volcanos, Serbia, Bailey's Irish Cream, heavy metal, Ludwig van Beethoven and cows were all invented in Croatia, while China invented pens, some martial arts and big walls.

So, just out of interest, which countries invented what other stuff?

Yeah, but not the rest of stuff. I wasn't clever enough for that, so I had to figure out a way to get stuff. Hence: money. Obvious when you think about it.

About 24 years ago, I invented a marvelous rotary engine that could be run on steam, or run on petrol (a few variations between the two).

About 20 years ago I discovered that James Watt had stolen my invention.

Fuck you James Watt !!.

He's a bastard, that James Watt.

The thread I was referring to was the big one prior to the election, Wrathy.

Seriously though, George Stephenson (from the north-east of England) invented the steam train. Here we invented the Hills hoist. What else did the Chinese invent? Was anything invented in any obscure countries?

We have ancient China to thank for paper money and the printing press, among thousands of other things that the modern world takes for granted.

If commercials are to be believed, Liquid Paper was invented by the mother of one of The Monkees

While I'm at it, has anyone invented a computer program that can rip audio from DVDs? If so, where can I download it?
