This infographic poses a couple different strategies for those bands that decide to move out of bumbfuck.
- I4 corridore (florida metal scene)
- Texas circuit (DFW, Austin, Houstin)
- PNW (Seattle\Portland)
- NE coast circuit (Pitsburg, Cleveland, NY, Richmond)
- LA
- Chicago
Sadly, I don't think any of us are going to live through another 90s florida metal scene, or Seattle grunge scene, but still, proximity to other players, producers, promoters etc has some importance.
The question is whether its more important than pure reach to population.
In terms of how often a relatively unknown band can tour, it would seem that any of these areas would support it enough. Some easy 50+ shows a year to anyone motivated enough. Some obviously more than others.
