even without reading the rules it should be clear, that buying a CD and then sharing its contents on the internet is not legal.
Still, it's CLEARLY against the rules (doesn't anyone read them?), usually a permaban is in order or at least 6months or so if someone does it that boldly and obviously (I bought a CD, but I think it's rather expensive, so I'll rip it and share it for free on a public forum)...in This case he only got a 7days ban.
usually I don't care much about what people do via PM, as long as it's not on the forum, in this case the guy will get a permaban if he keeps sharing this in any way on UM, so if you don't want him banned better even not ask him.
People on this board are asking Colin R. for info, he even chimed in one day and helped out with settings and answers etc, and the board's way to repay him is to steal from him? What a cunt move!
(not to speak of the disrespect towards the band or the damage to the entire business)....and no, this last sentence wasn't meant to spark a discussion, I'll not lock this thread right away, so feel free to comment or something, but if this develops into another "illegal downloads good or bad" thread it'll be locked.

How can people that are actually IN THIS BUSINESS be so bold and share stuff like that that publicy? this is not mininova or some other torrent site!

I understand your point 100%, but I can also comprehend how he probably didn't think of the stems being the same as a ripped song. Honestly, me neither.
Didn't feel bad or something because I own every single album from AILD, also several shirts and hoodies.. so they can't really complain.
But thinking of it, it's crystal clear really. Gotta go and buy the damn thing
