Neil wrote the lyrics, vocals and was instrumental with the arrangements of "Gung Ho". Neil sang the song on the first Anthrax North American Tour in 1984. There are a few recordings with Neil's vocals including a rare Anthrax double LP live bootleg called "Screaming Architects From Hell" on Sleepy Hollow Records. This album also has "Armed and Dangerous" which Neil wrote. Belladonna was just singing Neil's lyrics and melody lines. This is copywritten with the Library Of Congress under "Spread The Disease" with three songs under this including "Gung Ho", Armed And Dangerous", and "Raise Hell". Neil knows why and how he wrote these songs and what they are all about, I'm not too sure that the guys in Anthrax do other than just the basic riffs. No one else had anything to do with the lyrics although they may have been "adjusted" to accomodate the second singers vocal range. I've talked with Neil about this and said that this should be a great song for John Bush, since he has a ballsy voice.prime666 said:Gung ho. Though I only heard the version with Joe Belladonna singing.
Very astute. A man who definitely knows his Thrax. The title "Anthrax Historian" is well represented. Thanks for catching that one. Now you didn't really wanna vote "Hellfire" did you?jdelpi said:What? No "Hellfire"???
