I should add that 4/4 in E Minor's title is a blatant lie as the song is not in 4/4 or E minor. It's also (arguably - and I'd argue it) ripping off King Crimson/later Don Caballero.

Also, Forbes wrote the description of TDO.

I just think it's a misrepresentation of Thoughtstreams more than anything else. It was written for the purpose of having a song that was easy for the melodic singer to sing on in a more rock type of way.

If we could get our hands on a classicly-trained singer I would probably just write twelve-tone music for her to sing like Babbitt or Webern or Schoenberg did with the vocalists they wrote for.

It's a moot point now though since we're defunct. I just want to try and look like I'm promoting the band so it'll look nice when I send the recording to labels for consideration.

The Sean Malone thing is a coy refrence to the drum program of the last song on his solo album, "Cortlandt". I, quite literally, stole his beat (cuz it's so phat) and used it for Gift-Wrapped Crab.

Serialized rhythm produces, as one would expect, a huge variety of rhythmic durations so I thought it would be interesting to project melodies of constantly changing durations against a drum program that's so regular and funky. Because of some math I did while composing, I made sure everything lines up right.

The song's also kind of a tribute to a musician - Malone - who's influenced my musical life a lot - more than I can or would care to express here.

Why don;t you just post them all? To Devour Ovaries is an awesome song, but since I've laready heard it post the clean gift wrapped crab! i've been dying to hear it!
