which room would you choose for recording drums ala "the black dahlia murder"/"beneath the massacre" etc...

room descriptions:

room1: dead

room2: nice alive sounding room, too small?
room2a.jpg

room3: high ceiling, flutter echo (can be eliminated by hanging a carpet from the ceiling)
room3m.jpg

thx guys :headbang:

Room 2 for sure. You want something that will sound nice and lively - but you don't want too big of a sound. It's easier to add space to a drum sound versus taking it away.

I would say room 1 or 3 for the reasons you listed actually. Nothing will smear drum tracks faster than a bunch of early reflections.

I vote 2 just because the picture looks like it would have more options, and you can move shit around and stuff. The other two look like it would be a bitch to record drums there.

yeah i used to record a room like room 2 , is awesome you got more booooooooom

room 3 would do the fight with 2 i guess too ... depends on how that one sounds!
