Which tone sounds better?

I might be using one of these in a production soon...I'm curious to know
your opinion, which one you think sounds better?

I think tone 2 is better EQ wise, but the distortion has a strange quality.

maybe because it's POD farm with an external impulse
tone 1 is just POD farm with j-900, tone 2 is criminal
