Who has read The Sunbird?

I'm sure most of you are aware of the significance of this book to Opeth, but have any of you actually read it. Out of pure curiosity, i borrowed it a few days ago and so far it's not bad.
What are your thoughts on it, if you have read it?

Wilbur Smith. And Opeth got their name from that book so that's the whole reason why i'm reading it

Ah! If I remember correctly, there was a town named "Opet" and they just added an "h," hehe.
