Who inspires you to sing?

i'll get her ball rolling and start off by saying i wish i was a better singer. but for me, Mitch Allan has had an admirable career.

another DMV native, Mike Smith inspired me to become a songwriter in the first place.

i know these are hard rock guys and i'll probably come under fire for it, but are there any guys that particulary push you to sing better?

Devin Townsend and Phil Anselmo, but I stopped singing "clean" completely because I just suck at it,
but at least my breathing technique is good and I am still able to growl and scream, doing this atm in
a proggy black metal band and did it for 5 years in a death metal band.

But Devin for example is just sooo sick, he's able to sing almost everything and creates fucking awesome
harmonies! And Phil is just my favorite singer, that's it.
I sometimes write lyrics and vocal lines for a friend, playing some accoustic pop rock stuff with her,
getting inspired by John Mayer and Tina Dico for that kind of music alot.
