I love their power metal material, as well as their more progressive style.
Criss Oliva was a massively underrated guitar player. His style was definitely very distinctive, and a large part of Savatage's sound. R.I.P

I love the 'tage. I am going to be at the Jon Oliva acoustic solo show in Atlanta this year. Just him, no one else, doing acoustic songs from his back catalog and then taking his time to explain each one. Sort of like a VH-1 Storytellers. I am really looking forward to it.

Even though Jon Oliva is still a god of vocals, and I don't mean this in a degrading way, he really needs to hit the gym.

I likes 'em, they were okay with Jon Oliva on vocals, but with Zak Stevens they were awesome.

I LOVE Savatage, I've seen them with Jon, then Zak and finally Damon on vocals. They all were fantastic. It is a shame the Jon and Criss had screwed up all those years ago and gave control to Paul O'Neil, who is making so much money off Jon again with TSO that he basically killed Savatage.

I saw them with Zak & Criss Oliva on the "Edge Of Thorns" Tour. And yes, Paul O'Neil killed Savatage.
