Who plays this song?

I guess it was 1992 or 1993, I saw a video clip on MTV (yes, MTV) from a metal band where the guys made fun of three songs that were highlights at that time.

The songs were: Informer from Snow, Cats in the Cradle from Ugly Kid Joe and I can´t dance from Genesis.

Does anyone knows what band I'm talking about?!
