Originally called Pestilence, the band moved to the East Bay, from
Las Vegas. And used to support allot of The Bay Area bigger acts,
they changed their name to Horde Of Torment, who was another band from Vegas that broke up, but they stole their name. Arhue Luster went on to play in Machine Head, for 2 Albums & Tours. These guys were great friends of mine. In fact I just saw the old drummer(Joey) in Vegas last summer when I was with Exodus on a mini-tour. It would be great to hear them again, still have 2 of their demo's, they were quite good for an unsigned band. In fact they had an old Metallica kinda sound, good groove. Off. Nice proves again his extreme and varied knowlegde of Bay Area Speed Metal...........................Hats off to you
Actually, Come to think of it, Your response left me thinking.
They had "Product of a Sick Mind" and there was one more
I think, if memory serves me right, Do you know what it was
called? Do you remember why they broke up? I'd love to score
copies of those demos in trade for Epidemic's demos on CD.
My Brother is a HUGE Bay Area Metal Guy puts me to Absolute
Shame and got them burned on CD and they came out pretty
good. My memory is kind of fuzzy sometimes and I forget shit
hence me forgetting that Robb did actually play on "Nothing..."
because the guitar work seemed unlike what I think Robb
used to do with them, so I assumed he had left to work on MH
by then. You were right to rip on me on that : )
Speaking of Epidemic, you wouldn't happen to have a copy of
Epidemic's "The Truth Of What Will Be" would you?
I'm starting to ramble so I might as well ask you what ever
happened to Laughing Dead. I never scored their demo cause
my brother had it and I listened to his alot. Next thing I knew
they disbanded.
Thanks Much, My Hat's off to you dude!
