Cliff was great I agree, his death was a tragedy, for Metallica, for the Fans and maybe the whole metalscene...
I don't know Megadeth that well but as the old Metallica-stuff is definitely some of the best metal-stuff EVER, I should agree on what you said about Met kicking Megadeth's ass anyday

Both were great in the 80's, though Metallica was better. Megadeth definetely had better albums in the 90's (rust in peace, extinction, youthanasia...). They got pretty bad too at the end of the decade but at least Dave had the sense to end the band before they reach the bottom.

It wasn't really Dave Mustaine's choice to end Megadeth. It's just his anger problems and his arm and all. He may start back up, but maybe not. Let's hope so, so he can have a good album out before they're gone.
