As far I can tell this guy has issues and health problems so why would a band hire him if they wanted to take the band further. This would make no sense. If he can't figure out and solve his problems being in one of the most promising metal bands what makes you think he wants to play music period.

My understanding is that since Axe is not a big part of opeth's overall sound (he doesn't do songwriting), he's not as big of a concern to lend his talents to other bands. Plus, he was already in bloodbath before the roadrunner deal, so i am sure they have something or other worked out in the contract to make that work. Just my speculation.

honestly guys, axe has expressed his intents of wanting to be part of future bloodbath BUT since he's now an official member of opeth and under the wings of their management, i can see this becoming an obstacle....
