I was smoking a cigarette and was almost done with it and it went up in flames!!! Almost burned the hell out my hand! I've been smoking for years and that's never happened before... lol!

That's pretty odd. Maybe it's a sign that you should stop smoking.

I see that you live in Charlotte. Cool! There are a few people from NC here. Another guy from Charlotte posted here a while back but hasn't been back. Do you go to Manifest? They have some really good cds.

Oh yeah! Manifest kicks ass! It's the ONLY place to get good CDs around here... Do you think Charlotte sucks ass too? (besides Manifest) lol!

Yeah, there isn't much to do here. There is a decent amount of concerts that comes through here, but I usually have to go to Winston-Salem or elsewhere to find good shows. I am probably gonna go to App. State in Boone next year. I think it'll be good to get out of Charlotte.

I don't go to Manifest much, but they definitely have the best selection of metal around here. I will probably not buy anymore new cds from there because some of the cases were cracked on the last ones I got. I will still browse their wide used selection, though.

Well, I am gonna go to sleep. See ya around.

Serves you right for being a retard and smoking. Why don't you go cut off your ugly head. It'll be less painless in the end.

Wow, fellow North Carolinians. I'm from Hickory, but I live at Western Carolina Univ. nowadays. Glad to see everyone around here doesn't listen to Creed, Linkin Park, Limp Biscuit (yes this was spelled purposely and disrespectfully) etc..etc...

I'd be embarrased to admit that I even knew what those guys looked like... lol! Thanks for the new Disclaimer message, btw...

My avatar isn't very accurate... I don't have any kind of camera and no recent photos - I only have a scanner, so that's what I used to make the picture... (Those things don't give off radiation or anything, do they?)

DISCLAIMER: Any similarities between my avatar and that guy from System of a Down are purely coincedental..

There are a few people from NC lurking around here on the UM forums. I ran into a lot of people from NC in The End forum recently. It's nice to see that there aren't so many people from here that have bad taste in music. It's very hard to come by people with similar music interests as me. It's also nice that there are some decent concerts here every now and then.

Biowaste, I have decided to go to App. State next year so I will be semi-close to you. Run for your life... :spin:

Serj Tankian----------vocals
Daron Malakian------guitars/vocals
Shavo Doadjian------bass/some vocals
John Dolmayan-------drums

(I could have some last names wrong.)

I like System of a Down. So there :p

Yeah, we get some decent shows, but we also have that curfew...
Were you able to see the Opeth/Nevermore concert last year? They seemed pretty ticked off about it... Granted, they did have 4 bands playing that night so I think I'd get pretty ticked too having to cut my set down to 45 minutes... Oh well, it was cool to see them!

I was just picking on ya... :p I honestly can't say that I've heard any of there stuff... Well, I'm sure I've heard something but I couldn't tell you anything about them or their songs...

They're not metal by any means, but they're good. Their softer songs are best. If you want to give them a shot, you should download: Aerial, Toxicity, ATWA, and Forrest.

I may do that... I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to music... (Hell, I even listen to some country... Not much, but some...)

No. I didn't have a chance to make it, but there is no way in hell I will miss seeing them next US tour. Hopefully, they will play here at Tremont and also in Winston-Salem at Ziggy's. I would also go to Atlanta to see them. That's cool that you got to see them, though. I saw a poster from the Ziggy's show on eBay and was tempted to get it.

Yeah, they put on an excellent show (all the bands, really) and I almost went to the Ziggy's show, but couldn't for some reason or other... (Money, probably, lol!) I'll definately see them again...
