hmmm, the same was said for Logic 9, yet it runs fine on PPC macs.
i think Apples License agreement states that only Intel macs are "supported", meaning that it if you somehow convince it to run on a PPC , your on your own.
this is definatly a marketing stratagy (at least in part), to sell more new macs.
but it also ties in with the way Apple manage hardware, they're usually eager to ditch old technologly and move forward. as far as i know, they were the first to drop the floppy disk, and serial ports, and at least partly responsible for the widespread acceptance of USB as a standard for all peripherals. (someone correct me if im wrong on that).
point is, these kind of moves will anger people who still have older machines and don't want to upgrade, but Apple will move forward with end-to-end 64bit processing as standard and shiny new intel processors, while Microsoft are still left supporting mountains of derelict hardware in 32-bit for the next decade.
sucks, but thats the way Apple play it. god knows i'd have nothing to do with them if it wasn't for Logic 9.
