Overly-Cryptic Jake
Pedro the Lion Backwoods Nation lyrics

Calling all rednecks
to put down their sluggards, turn their attention
from beating the buggers,
and pick up machine guns,
and kill camel-fuckers
backwoods nation

Calling all doctors
of spin and the smokescreen
to whip the new patriots
into a frenzy
of good versus evil,
ignoring the history
of the backwoods nation

Ain't it a shame,
when due process
Stands in the way, of swift
justice

Calling all frat boys
to trade in their hazing,
their keggers and cocaine
and casual date-raping
for cabinet appointments
and rose garden tapings
backwoods
backwoods
backwoods nation

ok, here it is.

avi is partly right. it's totally "safe" for him to say what he said in the scene he is... no matter how offensive his approach.

also, the double standard which alows him to call all people who agree with the war as "rednecks" and the whole "frat boy" thing, without anyone speaking out against him. see, when the war started Travis from D-plan stated his pro-war beliefs (on his bands web site) and got railed for it. i just hate the idea that no matter how "wrong" something might be that's being said in the indie world, as long as it's the "in thing" to say you can get away with it.

yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking, but I was too retarded to be able to put it into words. I remember that d-plan debacle, read the original post and was like "dude is gonna get ridden on rail for that just because"
