WILDERUN TO RELEASE VEIL OF IMAGINATION IN NOVEMBER
"....Boston-based band Wilderun has confirmed the release of their latest epic progressive metal masterpiece, entitled Veil Of Imagination, due out on November 1st...."
WILDERUN REVEAL NEW SINGLE “FAR FROM WHERE DREAM UNFURL”
"'Far From Where Dreams Unfurl' is one of the more melodic, upbeat tracks from the album," says vocalist/guitarist/pianist Evan Anderson Berry. "We've been playing it at shows for a while now, and it's one of the most fun songs to play live. It began as a much more stripped-down folk track, originally written just on acoustic guitar, but we kept developing it and adding to it until it progressed to an eight-plus minute piece. Some of it harkens back to our first album, melodically, but takes more structural influence from our second, resulting in something that feels pretty new to us. Lyrically, this song talks about a man who obsesses himself with tasks and goals, viewing life through a lens of accomplishment, and slowly realizing that he's just distracting himself from his own inability to be content with life."
WILDERUN REVEAL “THE TYRANNY OF IMAGINATION” LYRIC VIDEO
"The album as a whole has a lot of peaks and valleys through light and darkness, and 'The Tyranny of Imagination' is probably the deepest valley," explains vocalist/guitarist/pianist Evan Berry. "Whereas our previous single 'Far from Where Dreams Unfurl' explored brighter, melodic territories, we wanted this song to focus more on guitar work, atmosphere, and the darker textures of the orchestra. Lyrically, this song is a sort of submission to the power and oppression of an overactive mind. Up until this point on the album, the 'main character' has been battling his own inability to live in the real world, attempting to find ways to perceive reality as it truly is. This is a song of defeat, and of going inward to the point of no return."
WILDERUN STREAMING NEW SINGLE "O RESOLUTION!"
Says vocalist/guitarist/pianist Evan Berry, "'O Resolution!' really showcases the bombastic, symphonic side of the album. We wanted this song to fuse together the band and orchestra in an even more seamless way than past songs, giving it more of a 'wall-of-sound' feel, rather than having the different sonic textures clearly separate. This track displays a lot of the different elements found on Veil of Imagination in a fairly concise presentation."
