I always hear about Nick Drake but have never gotten around to checking anything out. I guess I will now though.

Oh, and the two Whitmore samples there ruled. Dare I say, better than Howlin Wolf (the only other blues I really know)? Indeed.

THe first mp3 rocks. I dig this stuff. If I see this CD in the store tomorrow, I might just get it.

I've always wanted to check out Nick Drake.

ya, I always look for used CDs by Drake, but never find any. And I don't want to spend $14 on a CD I might like from a genre I somewhat like.

I downloaded 'Song of the Blackbird' because he was opening for Red Sparowes (which I eneded up skipping anyhow). I suppose that's probably the only reason he's mentioned at a metal board?

The album seemed good enough, but I deleted it and decided if I wanted to listen to music like that, I shouldn't listen to this kid ripping off the originals, I should listen to the originals instead. Problem was, I didn't really know who those guys might be, but now it sounds like Nick Drake (again, a name I've heard plenty of times) might be a place to start.

Holy shit is that a concert I'd like to see.

And I've now heard the first 6 songs from the new album and have to say that the sample track provided by the label is probably the weakest of what I've heard. I thought "And Then The Rains Came" and "Lee County Flood" were especially good.
