The Winger show that was scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at Manning Bar in Sydney, Australia, was cancelled due to safety concerns arising out of a fire in the venue. According to an update from the band, “With smoke and fire quality posing seriousl risks, the Fire Department deemed the venue unsafe. No one, in good conscience, would go ahead with a show in the circumstances. Your safety and the safety of everyone involved is our top priority. We know how much people were looking forward to this, and we’re already working hard behind the scenes to look at a reschedule.”
The show has since been rescheduled for Monday, April 7 at a new venue, The Factory Theatre. Doors open at 7:00pm, the show begins at 7:30pm. New tickets are available here.
Ticket holders for the April 5 show at Manning Bar may use the same ticket for The Factory Theatre. If you cannot attend, you may seek a refund from your point of purchase.
The organizers have issued the following statement:
“We understand this change may cause inconvenience, but please know that both Winger and Silverback Touring have done everything possible to keep the show alive for Sydney fans.
We have also kept the show to an early enough time slot to allow you to get to the show after work and to also get home at a reasonable hour. Winger are raring to go and we believe they will have something extra special planned for their Sydney fans.
We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and support—and we can’t wait to see you on Monday night for what promises to be an unforgettable show.”
Winger’s Australian farewell tour features all of the original members – Kip Winger (vocals, bass), Reb Beach (guitar), Rod Morgenstein (drums), Paul Taylor (guitar, keyboards) and John Roth (guitar) – whio will deliver the ultimate send-off, celebrating decades of iconic music in a career-spanning spectacle.
Tickets are available here.
