WIZARDS - THE BLACK KNIGHT (Angra Brazil style)

So the band WIZARDS (not to be confused with the bands WIZZARD, or WIZARD) is back with a new album called "The Black Knight" and it totally kicks ass! Back in 2003 they released an album called THE KINGDOM that made it into my top 10 of that year, and now they return with another fantastic release!

If you like bands such as Angra, Shaman, Aquaria, and Soulspell, this will be for you! I am doing a mini CD showcase this evening from 7-10 PM EST if interested in hearing this!

Great band. The KINGDOM 2 was a let down. I think it was just the singer and one other guy in the band then. It sounds like they used a beat box for the drums. One or two good songs on it. I really hope this new one is good.
The Kingdom was an amazing disk. This is one of those bands that gets overlooked always.

I couldnt agree more! The Kingdom was awesome, and The Kingdom II was a complete let down with mediocre songs that were on average less than 3 minutes long!

This one is more in the realm of "The Kingdom" so I think you will enjoy it!

You need to start up a thread for this.... I'm also a big fan, and while I think I have done a pretty good job staying on top of most of them, I'd love to see some that fell through the cracks.

For my money, Aquaria tops the list for this style, but I'd love to see your thoughts!

ENDLESS is great. Singer for Aquaria's other band

BURNING IN HELL - great heavier power metal

MAGICIAN - great melodic power metal.

SILENT MOON - I have only heard a few songs. really good

TUATHA DE DANANN - fantastic upbeat power metal with some Irish folk.

ETERNA - generic power metal. not bad just nothing amazing

EYES OF SHIVA - great band. Thrashy power metal. Vocals along the lines of Andre Matos at times.

A long time ago, I posted a thread about them, but most bands I mentioned have already disbanded. There are so many newer good bands down there.

I'll see if I can think of some.
