normally i wouldn't be okay with a remake but isn't the original movie a gross miscarriage of the book anyway? so fuck that movie and fuck "cheer up charlie".

yeah, i really don't know why people are hating on the remake so much without even seeing it. it has a lot of great things going for it. sure, the original is great, but as toby said, that was probably a lot further from the book than this one will be, and book uber alles.

I thought the trailer was rather strange (from the looks not so dark, but the intense cheeriness/oddities are unnerving). I'm really quite looking foward to the movie.
