band Pollen and their self titled 1976 album. This
release is regarded as one of the great album of
progressive rock of the 1970's. Don't miss this
feature. We'll also spotlight the French Jazz band
L'Orchestre Sympathique and the 1979 live recording In
Concert with the Great Master key. We'll also feature
by multiple requests since our feature last week, the
new Echolyn CD titled The End Is Beautiful. The new
disc is due out on August 23rd prior to their European
tour in September. We'll spotlight music from the
Poseidon label from Japan and music from Nearfest 2006
band KBB, now defunct Japanese band Morsof and a track
from their 2003 release Heap. We feature the latest
re-release of Finnish Guitarist Jukka Tolonen and his
1977 release titled JTB featuring a bonus cut as well.
We'll feature the new disc from Bert Lams of the
California Guitar Trio and his Nascent CD spotlighting
the music of Bach on steel string Guitar. We'll
feature the forthcoming powerhouse release of 2005 in
Norway's Wobbler and their Hinterland CD due in
September. Our 4th Hour Space Out focuses on Hawkwind
Violinist Simon House and his mid 90's reissues of
Spiral Galaxy Revisited and Yassasim from the
Voiceprint records label.
We'll spotlight classics from the vaults. First up,
Spanish band Iceberg and the 1977 classic, Sentiments.
A summertime favorite in Jeff Beck's Wired from 1976,
the one and only release from 1969 supergroup Blind
Faith featuring some alternate versions. We'll feature
the 2003 self titled release from Italian band
Fonderia. And as always our current #1 disc for the
10th straight week in requests, 15 weeks total,
Porcupine Tree's Deadwing.
