Already formed in the mid-90s in Cologne, in their 15-year-long carrier the quartet has released some demos and three full-lengths, which had been put out between 2001 and 2006. Even gigs together with Annihilator, Tankard or Kreator have been played so far. Chapter IV is the first album, which appears through Pure Legend Records.
Stylistic somewhere between gripping Power- and melodic Thrash Metal, there are 14 tracks with a relatively long playing time of 67 minutes. From fast Thrashers and groovy midtempo-bangers to ballad-influences in some tracks the Germans show up a varied and challenging Metal-album, which even got a modern production but also a classic flair. For example there are twin-guitar-parts placed next to heavy, down tuned riffs. The voice varies between rough growls and powerful clean-vocals, but also sounds fresh and innovative.
WOLFEN are a good argument, that it isnt a utopian idea to unite tradition and modernity credible!
