Not sure how many of you listen to Triple J, but the Hottest 100 was today (as always on Australia Day). Wolfmother broke the record for most songs in the 100 with 6, and Minds Eye came in at #6. I was rooting for it to be #1, but still a fantastic achievement. If Woman wasn't in last years 100, it could well have topped the poll.

I really need to get around to picking up their album.

I dig all I have heard from it, and have been meaning to go and buy it from Big W for weeks now. Maybe I will tomorrow.

I like the album, it's pretty cool - but much like The Darkness' first, it grew tiresome quickly. You still appreciate how good it is, you just don't listen to it much.

I went and bought the album today.

Colossal is fucking awesome. It gave me chills.

It's far better than The Darkness' debut.

It's a classic of Australian rock as far as I am concerned.

Pretty hard to fault.

Amazing production too... listening to it at work with Rotel amps, Paradigm speakers and an M&K subwoofer, it just owns.

The Hammond gets sooo low... brutal as hell.

Only played for an hour though so who knows.

For $50 and being at a large-ish venue (Festival Hall), I would hope Wolfmother would play at least a little longer than an hour. Their album comes in at around 50 mins anyway, so they would still need a cover or two to flesh it out to an hour.

I've seen them live on channel v and their songs go for a lot longer than they do on the album.

They do alot of wanking and guitar noodling

I dont know how I feel about a band whose CD I can buy in a Service Station. I like their art though, I used to have that poster on wall back in the day but now they've ruined it for me. Acutally, I've never heard them but I thought they were supposedly more like indie rock than metal?

They're not a metal band. But they rock hard in the 70s power combo tradition.

If you like Wolfmother you will like Angel.
They are from the 70's and Wolfmother have a similar sound to Angel.

I went to buy tickets on Friday and they were sold out. Damn. Now I have to check ebay regularly.
