I'm glad Erik is reviewing this, and perhaps that's why he's refrained from making any detailed thread posts about it, which is fair enough....

....however, I just want to say that I've listened to "Pursuit of the Sun & Allure of the Earth (all 61:21 minutes of it -- no filler, no lie) for the first time in its entirety today and I'm hardpressed to think of any other 2004 release (so far) that is better than this.

The samples I heard were better than the first album. Probably should get this then, but I'll wait for the review because then I can wait awhile longer to spend the cash.

Yeah. Also, if I may add, as good as those samples are, the album works better when listened to from beginning to end. This was also suggested to me by David Gold, and you know....he's right! Go figure.

"The Woods of Ypres CD release night for "Pursuit of the Sun & Allure of the Earth" at Club Rockit this weekend is officially postoned due to an unforseen delay at the CD pressing plant.

We knew it was going to be close and we did everything we could all week to try and push this through, but unfortunately I got the official word this morning that the CDs won't be ready in time for Saturday.

As per Noel @ Inertia, The CD release night at the Rockit Lounge will be re-scheduled for next weekend, Saturday August 21st instead.

I'm told CDs will FINALLY be available!"

I'll be there, it should be a fun night. Can't wait for that pre-order to get in. It does feel like the kind of album (based on the sample songs) that would be best heard from beginning to end, and that's my kind of album.
