I like Christ Illusion. It's not my favorite Slayer album, but it's sure as hell a lot better than that shit they've released after Seasons In The Abyss. Although I hated the fact that the vocals were so intelligible though. They've really gone downhill with the lyrics and I don't exactly want to hear them.
I like Bostaph as a drummer better, but I guess it's Lombardo that forces Slayer to play metal.

i like the fact that slayer has their original line up. lombardo played amazingly on the tour this summer

He definitely sounds more "human" than Bostaph. Bostaph is like a machine. Lombardo does fuck up a little here and there, but you can really only notice it on songs where you memorized the whole drum patterns. I think that makes him sound more organic.

I know, that's what makes Lombardo's drumming sound so natural.
It's not even like big fuck ups, it's just like tiny mistakes here and there that are hardly noticeable.
