Actually, Japanese culture is infinitely more polite and complex then here, where there is no culture, just a hodge podge of old world life that never really gels, besides the language barrier and the crazy sense honor and duty(horribly inflated, but not altogether a bad thing) I think I would enjoy living there, so make fun of Marty, I stopped listening to him when he made that pseudo techno album, but I still respect the fact that he is now making guitar oriented music, which Metallica is not.
