Ah, ok. Ours usually don't sound that good in Ending Quest (my bedroom death metal project).

Work with velocity options and natural groove, not every hit needs to be set to a tempo bar.

We're definitely doing more dynamics and stuff for the EQ full length, has to sound more humanized. Oh, and we're also trying to have a mix that doesn't sound like poop

EQ/compressor or other vst's won't make drums sound more humanized

Try to set dynamic/velocities etc. very carefully.
In the end if you still will be unhappy with the drums or etc. I can offer you some help with mixing or drums for a quite nice price.

newb question... since this sounds really good, what did you use to get rid of the noise in the guitars? any filter, compressor, blablabla... also! clean signal plus guitar rig or whatever or just pedal?

damn extra noise with the hm-2, tends to be annoying after some tryings ._.
