I have Octopre MK1 LE's im willing to sell, or you after MK2's?
With ADAT board £230 + postage
Without ADAT board £130 + Postage

Did they change the pre's at all between the Mk1 LE and MK2's do you know? And the Octopre Platinum, for that matter

The MK1's are the platinum range, same preamps on the LE and full version and all the platinum units, the differences being, the LE when combined with the ADAT board is bi directional 8x A/D and D/A where as the Full version includes compression (albeit very limited control) on every channel, and is only one direction conversion A/D but has an ADAT or AES option.
IMO the le was the more versatile being bi directional conversion and without the useless compressors.
The MK2's are the pre's from the Saffire range of audio interfaces,
ive never A/B'd mk1 vs mk2 but doubt there is an awful lot of audible difference in this price range.
