the full install is about 50Gb i think, including all sampler instrument libraries and Jam Packs.

Aye, thats a savage price indeed.
its a pity the student packages aren't eligible for upgrades though,
but having said that, it may even be cheaper to just keep getting the student versions anyway

While that is a great price, in Joey's case it would not work out as I'm sure he is using it in a commercial enterprise and Academic Licenses cannot be used in such works if I recall. He needs a full license for his work.

Plus, lets face it, the Logic Studio package is pretty damn cheap for what you get, even at full price.
