WTF.

Well this thread certainly went in an interesting direction  But about the guitar, I dunno, doesn't look too out of the ordinary for me; I mean, I think the shape is ridiculous and I'd never be caught owning one, but it's not like it's unique (e.g. Gus G).

Now this really is cashing in, he used Gus G's model and liked it so they have put new inlays in and made it white and will now re-package it for all the die hard COB fans....argh!

I'm not into that shape either, and the headstock having sharp corners while the body has rounded corners is enough to give me OCD, but I kind of dig the way the alternating inversion cross inlays make the fretboard look like a graphic EQ.

He's had an ESP signature like that before the Gus G came out, but it was black and didn't have inlays, and IIRC the bridge pickup was a SD Invader. It also had a licensed Floyd which I thought was weird. I'm pretty sure that that model was only sold here in Finland though.

My friend got and endorsement deal with a Finnish Esp retailer, and he got the custom shop model of that Roope sig from them. I quickly tried it when I was visiting him some time ago. It played very well. He said he sold his Ibanez J-custom and his Jems (I can't remember if he actually owned both of them or if he was just borrowing the other one) when he got it because he thought the ESP just slayed them.
