Wu or Brentney...

Scott-
Please be sure to turn up the "whistle" in the song "Time"- at 3:38 I think- because I can't hear it.

Louder, better/tighter low end. They really pump.

Yep, and I guarantee that they'll be way too loud and clipped, just like GOTE. They don't NEED to be louder, they need the original dynamic range. I'll stick to the originals. I also agree about the "new" Megadeth back catalog: the remixing was crap+the remastering clipped=shite.

No, they are not "loud and clipped." Nor is GOTE. At least not on my iPod or car stereo or home stereo, none of which are expensive.

Actually, Scott... there are some instance on GOTE that seem clipped... most notably during the intro of Panic as well as the intro of Gung Ho. It just seems like the guitars were mastered a little too loud. Whenever the band is playing as a whole, it sounds amazing... but those instances when it's only guitars, there's a bit of clipping.

And that's just playing on my normal car stereo, iPod, and the like. It's not really much of a big deal, but there is a bit of a clipping "crackle" here and there.

Cheers.

I stand by my statement. I love GOTE, I love Rob's production, but...what I said.

Yep - I noticed exactly the same thing with those 2 tracks - not a big problem at all except I always think I've blown a speaker!!!!
