i wasn't super impressed by K&C. not that it was bad, but there wasn't enough of a conflict-driven plot for me.

conflict shmonflict. keeping in mind I come from a Lovecraft-reading background and can easily just read plotless-but-good writing for pages and pages, I thought the book was really excellent.
