Xfer you missed out

xfer, anyone, recommend a book for me to read.

i'm going to the library for the second time in the span of a month, if only to look up information on karsts, and even then for picture purposes, only.

lizard, sorry, thread hijacking. i'll give it back ASAP.

no prob.

what do you like to read?

The Last Escape is an okay book I'm in the middle of, about the allied POWs in europe in the closing months of WWII.

Bill Bryson is always a good choice. Notes from a Small Island is excellent, and his books about the English language are interesting, funny, and entertaining. A Walk in the Woods is okay.

and now back to Xfer:

Columbus is a place where you can always find a party!

Revelers having fun in the Brewery District. The restored German Village and Brewery District feature eclectic nightlife choices with micro-breweries, cigar bars, oom-pah bars, piano bars and patio bars with live entertainment. The Short North gallery district is a metropolitan area that offers street life, galleries, boutiques, outdoor cafes and the historic North Market. Saturday night Gallery Hops are de rigeur before hitting the night spots.

(note in the pic, the guy is committing a serious faux paux (sp?) by sticking his armpit in that chick's face)

sorry this is what i went home with:

the alphabet versus the goddes (re-check out)
stiff: the curious life of human cadavers (considered buying this unread, but it seems like the UK edition has a much more interesting cover)
stealing the network: how to own the box
a secret book

and then two juvenile mineral/geology books for graphical/money-making purposes.

okay now you can have the thread back, liz
