hi, i would like to hear your opinon on those monitors.

(yamaha hs50m / samson rubicon r6a)

you should now that i already own a active 8" sub with variable xover frequency, it's something like a noname product (jensen), but i really dig its sound. xover is from 160-50hz. atm i'm using it at ~90hz.

i mostly do metalstuff, and sfx stuff for audiobooks/theater stuff.

the speakers will be used in a nearfield condition, no big mixingdesk and stuff, just a daw edit/mixing setup, computermonitor+keybord and mouse so to speak.

thank you!

Haven't heard the Samsons actually, but I have owned both Hs-50 and Hs-80.
Well, the hs-80 are ok IMO. Sound a bit hollow, not as much as the hs-50's though... Both have that midrage dip,
Just bought myself a pair of KRK Vxt6's for 899 $ today, and HOLY CRAP do they slay!!
Really recommend them, no need for a sub there either... :)
