they're inconsistent but i love a lot of their stuff, s/t is still the best album as a whole

As a whole, yes, but there's a lot of stuff on the other albums that would kill anything on the s/t except maybe The End.

3. strange days
4. waiting for the sun

l.a. woman is the best of the rest but i don't particularly like it. full circle is the worst, genuinely horrible.

'take it as it comes' is probably my favourite doors song

Dont know why I cant totally connect with this band, I think its the keyboard and maybe the groove. Maybe I need a full album someday. I remember being totally into light my fire when it was a radio hit, I was prolly 10. I also remember getting a kick out of that song "you can not petition the Lord" but more of a muse interest than musical as I recall.

Morrison Hotel is next on my list when I start buying music again
