ok... neither Opeth nor Dream Theater are trend bands. This topic is a carry over of the one on www.musicianforums.com here lemme link to that one too... these guys are fuckwads. I was part of the conversation where Agalloch and Opeth vocals were compared... they were saying Mikael is SHIT. here i will link both the poll thread there and the thread where it all started.

oh and BTW, i can't BELIEVE how fucking STUPID that Obscurity guy is.... obviously he himself is pretty new to metal... he calls Opeth Trendy, but what about the fans who have been there for years? THEY still though opeth was one of the greatest bands ever... and fuck... Opeth being popular is a good thing... it doesn't change the music they make, it's still amazing as hell. Them being popular just means new metal fans get a taste of the best right off the bat hehe no need to go digging
