So you feel bad for him. Why is that, exactly?
Do you really think you're able to accurately differentiate whether or not it's all an act? Because I don't. But, let me present an alternative possibility.
He has enough views and subscribers for the money to slowly start rolling in if he's a Youtube partner - granted, it's not much at all at the moment, but it's still going somewhere with 20k+ subscribers on just his main channel, there are several channels to his name with all of them still having more subs than (let's be honest) most of any of our channels, and several hundreds of thousands of views on some of his videos. I will bet my cookies on him being a Youtube partner or at this very moment looking into it.
Now, there are people who are completely delusional about their own talents, entertainment worth, and overall marketability. To me, however, this guy's videos seem to be edited to the general Youtube format that all the successful names on there are now doing. It's quite premeditated, and actually done reasonably well to that format, apart from the actual content.
The rest is just - you know, just exactly how the old publicity saying goes. And if I'm way off, there's also a second theory.
I don't know his age, but I'll say late teens. Do you know any kids that age? I do. And I know the deep craving they have for attention. So many kids these days make videos, hurt themselves in various ways, make music, and any combination of these, just to get that person who is themselves, somewhere out there. I did this too when I was a teen, by making some really faux-complex shitty music, to show everyone how different I think I am.
I know this one teen who once told me that she's going to make a video. "Okay, cool. What about?", I asked. "I dunno", she answered. "You want to make a video but... You don't have any actual things that you'd like to share with others?", I then asked, somewhat bummed out. "Yeah!" She answered, like I had just been brought up to speed with everything that actually matters. The same thing happened with music at some point. "I just wanna release something".
It's very likely that this guy's problem is that he needs people to know about him. And for that problem, I gotta say that he's got a pretty good prescription already. Even in the worst case scenario, he's trying to fend off some shit he's going through, someone helps him, he grows up and cuts his hair, no one recognizes him anymore.
Obviously, in the worst-worst scenario he'll just end up killing himself, but let's remember what the odds are; those who cry out will mostly get helped and aren't actually going to do it anyway. Those who do, will do it in silence. That way no one can stop them - because they don't want to be stopped.
You have the right to feel bad, but, I don't think he needs you to.
